A lovely evening in St. Boniface and St. Vital. No interesting clouds to be found, but nice light nonetheless.
A few shots from the St. Boniface Industrial area.
Here are a few shots from the east side of the city—east of the Red River, that is. First, Redi-Mart (Talbot Avenue); 347 Dupuy in Mission Industrial; and Acme Welding (Mission Street).
Some sites from industrial St. Boniface. The tracks over Bickerton Street; another shot of Bickerton; and Dashmesh Darbar Cultural Centre on what I can only assume was a particularly slow night (Archibald Street).
Some of the structures on Marion Street along the border of the Stock Yards and Mission sections of St. Boniface. Highlights include the miscellaneous industrial thingamajig against a burning red sunset in the top photo, and Union Stockyards in the second.
Plinquet Street. Re-edits of a couple of shots from 2009.
Back from a brief hiatus away from the ice and snow. Today’s -7 feels downright tropical compared to the -35 when I left, so it’s good to be home.
Over the next while I’m going to be revisiting the archives, digging up some photos that have never been worked on (for one reason or another). I’m also going to be re-working some old shots that I always felt could have been processed better. In many cases, I think I might have gone a little crazy with the HDR.
Some TtV in the Mission Industrial area. Central grain on Archibald, a concrete skeleton on Plinguet Street, and K.A. Powell, back on Archibald.
