A few photos from a sunny Monday morning back in May.
Here’s a collection of seemingly random photos—all taken with the convenient, yet frustrating, iPhone 6 camera.
A few from the Logan C.P.R. neighborhood.
With the inevitable closing of the Arlington Bridge, there’s a good chance this underpass could see some big time changes in the coming years. While I’m not in favor of a total decommissioning of the Arlington Bridge, the underpass could definitely use some work; it’s kind of dumpy.
A few shots from Jarvis Avenue. The first few are near Winnipeg Cold Storage (Jarvis at Salter), and the last one is down the road a bit, under the Arlington Bridge. From this angle, the iconic structure seems completely unrecognizable to me.
A few shots from late March from miscellaneous areas around the city. From the top: Hambo’s (Notre Dame Avenue); Sungreen Food (Notre Dame Avenue); Hydro Substation (Logan Avenue); Independent Jewellers (Notre Dame Avenue); and Northgate Mall (McPhillips Street).
A strip mall (with a Giant Tiger and a pawn shop) in front of an old incinerator? Yes, it’s Logan and McPhillips.
I’m always on the lookout for foggy mornings, especially on those first few warm days at the end of winter (these are from March 9). On this particular morning, the fog was some of the thickest I’ve ever seen in the city.
Some sunrise shots from the Logan C.P.R. area from back in January, mostly on Henry Avenue.
The name says it all.
