Boy, after eight years of Winnipeg Love Hate it’s become practically impossible to come up with names for these daily posts. Starting today, I’m going to go with a movie theme. Let’s see how long I can make it last.
A very quick stop in Letellier, which until this past fall, I did not previously know existed, despite having passed by it dozens of times.
Here’s a new look at Central Park—one of the most colorful, dynamic and photogenic neighborhoods in the city. Many impressive structures in this area, highlighted by the Breadalbane Block (aka, Ambassador Apartments), the almost equally impressive 344 Cumberland, and the recently contentious Centre Village.
The last batch of the Manitoba Roadtrip photos for a while, these were shot on the Trans-Canada Highway after a lovely weekend in Falcon Lake.
Passed through the outskirts of Brandon on my last Manitoba drive, with only the one photo of Barney’s Motel to show for it. I’ve photographed Brandon a couple of times before, but my plan is to spend a few solid hours shooting there next summer.
A quick look at Neepawa, Manitoba, a town that has a reputation as being one of the prettiest in Manitoba. I find it hard to argue with that statement. From its lovely downtown, complete with a sizable handful of turn-of-the-century buildings to the gentle rolling hills that surround the town, Neepawa lives up to its reputation. It’s definitely worth a visit.
