I could probably put out a book of photos of nothing but Winnipeg churches. There are so many beautiful ones. I’m particularly fond of the ballsy modern ones, that do away with medieval and classical motifs—like St. Joseph German Roman Catholic Church (Mountain Avenue, built 1971). Meanwhile, the House of Ashkanaze on Burrows Avenue is a fairly handsome older structure. And then from the wee church on the prairie category, a church at Mountain and Andres, the name of which I am uncertain.
