When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go, right?
Not really. This one was taken on a busy night in the Exchange District–a Friday night, I believe, during the Fringe Festival. It was a gorgeous night, but a frustrating one. I witnessed several blatant acts of littering, including one at Old Market Square where a gentleman taking in a show at the free stage thew an ice-cream wrapper on the ground. When he realized he hadn’t thrown it far enough away, he leaned over to grab it, and then threw it as far away from himself as he could (from a sitting position).
As I walked back to my car, I stopped to grab a photo of the Silpit Building, when this gentleman walked into the frame and began his public urination–a couple of short blocks, mind you, from the row of public washrooms set up for the festival at Old Market Square.
The public urinator should have known better. So should the double-litterer. And as long as people who know better continue to publicly urinate and double-litter, Downtown Winnipeg is in serious trouble.
