Classic view down Albert Street. There’s a lot of talk these days about turning the street into a pedestrian mall. Frankly, this doesn’t make sense to me. It’s a great street as it is; one that works for pedestrians, cars and bicycles. Why mess around with a good thing?
And besides, are there really enough pedestrians to warrant a pedestrian mall? This is Winnipeg, where downtown is never quite overflowing with people.
Let it be. Please.
